Ambon Scorpionfish
Pteroidichthys amboinensis

These Ambon Scorpionfish are hard to find and hard to film. The are very shaggy, with multiple protrusions coming out of just about every part of it’s body, especially on it’s head, around it’s eyes and mouth.

They hang around in the sand, looking like a bit of algae, camouflaged, so they can ambush their prey.

Another very cool creature found in Lembeh, this one around 10 metres deep and a site called Batu Sander 2. They are difficult to film as they just have so many bits coming out of them, making them very hard to light.
