Tiger Shrimp
Phyllognathia ceratopthalma

These wonderful Tiger shrimp are one of the rarer finds here in Lembeh. They look extraordinary, with spikes randomly jutting out from theirs bodies. They are also known as Horned Bumblebee Shrimp or Bongo Shrimp. They usually hang out in the same place in pairs, and I had been visiting them for a while.

This week, when filming one of them I noticed another tiny Tiger Shrimp came up to join the big one. It was junior on a day out. A wonderful sight to see, as junior walked around a bit, before climbing on dad’s back and been taken back home..
